E. Llwyd Ecclestone Jr. is a Florida-based developer who has been instrumental in developing various housing projects in the state. As an active member of Palm Beach County, Florida, E. Llwyd Ecclestone Jr. is a member of the Florida Council of 100.

The Florida Council of 100, also known as Florida 100, is an organization of business leaders in Florida that works closely with the governor and other governmental arms and agencies to foster economic growth and development in the state. Florida 100 keeps policymakers and state leaders informed about important topics through advocacy, policy letters, and public relations.

In September 2021, the Florida Council of 100 wrote a policy letter to the Florida Congressional Delegation advising against increasing corporate tax. This letter followed recent discussions in Congress that proposed that the top tax rate on businesses across the country be raised from 21 percent to 26.5 percent. Federal lawmakers also proposed that the Global Intangible Low-Tax Income (GILTI) on global companies be increased from 10.5 percent to 16.5 percent. Florida 100’s argument against these policies is that taxes will affect not only corporations but also small businesses, hurting the SMEs that Florida’s local economies depend on. In its policy letter, the council also cites the hardship the pandemic is causing businesses as a reason they believe Florida congress members should not support these policies.
